About Mansfield Handyman Services

Mansfield Handyman Services was founded in 2016 by Steven Kirchner, whose passion for working with his hands and solving real-world problems inspired him to serve his local community. With roots in construction dating back to his high school years, Steven honed his skills early by finishing out commercial spaces and later constructing steel buildings. His versatile approach to each project has earned him a reputation as a modern-day MacGyver, always prepared with multiple solutions to tackle any challenge.

In 2020, amid the changes brought on by the COVID-19 era, Steven decided to take a brief pause from MHS to pursue further education in trade-specific skills. Though initially considering a career shift to work for another company, Steven quickly realized that this new path limited his ability to serve clients directly and restricted the strong relationships he had formed. By the fall of 2023, Steven and his wife decided it was time to relaunch Mansfield Handyman Services and reconnect with the community they loved.

Steven is also a proud U.S. Army veteran, having served from 2006 to 2013 in two distinct roles. He began as a Cavalry Scout, performing Recon operations, and later cross-trained to become an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technician (89D), where he specialized in IED defeat and explosive demolition operations. After his military career, he returned to Texas to start his family, bringing the same dedication and values to his business that he held in the service. Today, Mansfield Handyman Services continues to uphold Steven’s commitment to quality, integrity, and personalized care for each client’s home repair and maintenance needs.
